Indo Thai Chamber of MSMEs (ITCE), is a non-profit organization, registered under Section 8C of the Companies Act 2013, promoted with an objective of enhancing bilateral trade relations between India and Thailand. It is recognized by the Thai Trade Centre – Mumbai, of Department of International Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, in view of increased socio-economical bond between the two countries.

Thailand is one of the fast-growing, and the second largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). India’s economic and commercial relations with Thailand are rooted in history, age-old socio- cultural interactions and extensive people to people contacts. India and Thailand are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations this year in 2023, after Thailand becoming one of the first countries to recognise Independent India and establish diplomatic relations. India’s ‘Look East’ policy (since 1993) and Thailand’s ‘Look West’ policy (since 1996) which has now metamorphosed into India’s ‘Act East’ and Thailand’s ‘Act West” are strongly contributing in consolidating bilateral relations including economic & commercial linkages. An Early Harvest Scheme (EHS), covering 82 products (now 83 products) under the proposed India-Thailand FTA, in place since September 2004, has already resulted in phenomenal growth in our bilateral trade. As a result of the reduced tariff rates and new initiatives adopted by both the countries, trade between two countries increased manifold in recent years. Bilateral Trade has multiplied over eight times since 2000 to an all-time high of around USD 15 billion in 2021-22.

Investments of Indian businessmen is increasing rapidly and so is the interest of Thai business person in the Indian market. The challenge is to overcome the severe obstacles of confidence and credibility at both ends. The Indo Thai Chamber of MSMEs’ intends to play a pivotal role in bringing the right entrepreneurs of both countries together for collaboration and to explore opportunities for a mutually enduring relationship. ITCE has signed an MOU with Thailand India Business Council (TIBC) in Thailand and have excellent connections with various other Departments of The Royal Thai Govt. which can help interested businesspersons in many ways, as and when required.

Our Focus will also be on organising other programs that will enrich the appetite and potential of the business community for International Trade not only with Thailand but with other countries as well. Our team will provide inputs to explore Global opportunities based on Products & Services of interest to you. We can connect you with many domestic opportunities as well and can even organise International Exhibitions and Business delegations to various destinations so that you are updated and in pace with Global Trends. The promoters of ITCE have a strong background in management and operations of such Trade Organizations and enjoy excellent global connections including the one with Thailand.
